MU140 Alumina porcelain composition containing around 55%
AI203 is highly resistant to flux and slag attack with a high
electrical resistivity and is suitable for service temp. >1400°C.
This
is the normal recommendation for the insulation of base metal
thermocouples and is also the material supplied for combustion
tubes to be used for Carbon and Sulphur determination.
Mullite
MU140 tubes are also used as rollers for roller hearth kilns
for temperature around 1250°C, and are excellent in performance
and service life.

tubes are open at both ends. Solid Rod/Tube length 25 to 1500mm
depending on outer Diameter. Specific length size on enquiry.
Please do not fail to specify length of Solid Rod/Tube in
purchase enquiry. MU140 single and multibore tube insulators
are used for insulating thermocouple wires suitable for maximum
temp. >1400°C. according to DIN43725 standards.
